Dear 10 year old Mira,
I know that it’s hard for you right now. You feel like your grades have been slipping pretty bad and now there’s added pressure with your sisters. Do not worry about your grades, or your sisters for that matter. I assure you they are going to turn out fine. Keep up with learning your animal facts and stuff you enjoy. Secondary school will be a little tough for you as you might feel a bit left out, but you’ll get through it too after 4 years. Also you will get to do fun awesome D&T stuff that you’ll never think you can ever do. It will feel empowering and amazing.
At 17, because of your love for animals, you will decide to try to be a vegetarian again and this time, going cold turkey, you will succeed. You’ll be in poly and be meeting good friends and someone you will truly love. It’s fine to let your feelings show, because if you don’t, you know you’ll regret it for the rest of your life. You will spend 6 plus years with this amazing person, but remember that no matter how you feel, nothing lasts forever. You will learn to forgive whatever he or you have done as the time passes by. You’ll learn to realise that no matter what happens, you still have yourself, and you are strong, you’ll learn to take care of yourself and your family.
Remember the dream you had as a kid, to do animation? Well, it won’t really pan out that way, but it does get better. You will get to work in those movies that you loved watching when you were in school, and you’ll learn to better yourself as well. And even you are at your lowest at 24, you’ll realise that there will be many things or people out there worth living for and you will learn to search for and love yourself again, and everything else for that matter (yes, you actually will turn vegan!). You’ll learn not to pursue happiness but create it within you. You will learn that love is not a noun to be defined but a verb to be acted upon. You will learn.
Take care of yourself Mira, cause you know that you’re special and definitely irreplaceable. Live everyday with peace within yourself. Remember that no matter what happens, it’s all going to be alright in the end.
